1. Jamarcus Russell-QB-LSU-Some might argue with this one but athletically, Russell is clearly the top offensive player draft. He has a cannon for an arm and displays the kind of accuracy that you would want in an NFL quarterback. Russell also has great size and durability and is cast in the mold of the Miami Dolphin’s Daunte Culpepper. http://thefootballexpert.com/top10offensiveprospects070001.html
How much bulk does this kid need? It is scary to think what he could do to WRs with more muscle and speed that he will develop in the NFL. He is going to be a special player IMO. :geauxtige I also noticed that the website has Vincent ranked as the 14th RB. What round will that land him?
I think the Saints will get one of these 2 or the CB Aaron Ross out of Texas. 2. Patrick Willis-LB-Ole Miss-It might surprise some to stick Willis in the number two spot but his ability and athleticism would be hard to ignore. After earning several honors this season for his outstanding play he is now ready to join an NFL team and become a force in the league.
how much experience do you need? he's got 2 1/2 seasons under his belt. there arent many that have 4, are there? id think they'd be more concerned with the fact that he hasnt played in any big games. the biggest have been early season games against other top teams, but he played no championship games
I've seen their comments on LL's videos. They say he has ball skills of a 3 year old girl!! Nevermind those a-holes, LL will be the first taken. He'll be great in the NFL..:thumb:
The writer is not saying that Russell has no experience, he's just saying that he has less experience than some of the QBs in the draft.
Brady Quinn has four years experience. LL needing to bulk up? WOW! If he needs to bulk up, Reggie Nelson might as well be a high school kid. LaRon can bench like 400 pounds. One of the biggest safeties in recent memory. Reminds me a lot of John Lynch in terms of size but he is obviously faster at this point in his career. LaRon is a guy who will be able to help in the run(once again, built like a trim WLB), blitz like Polamalu, and will be pretty good in pass coverage. Reggie Nelson may be great in pass coverage but he is too small to do much in the box. It's that simple IMO. I don't see how Nelson can be considered superior to Landry.
Reggie Nelson is not even on the top 10 list.... So no, he's not superior to LL and no one thinks so except Florida fans...But anyway, LL could make use of an extra 10-15 pounds, better for his durability.
i didnt say they said russell had no experience, but how much experience do you need? he has 2 1/2 seasons, i dont see how that makes any difference. again, id think lack of big game experience is more concerning, but only a handful of qbs out there have that.
