    Pat Kirwan's observations:

Dwayne Bowe, LSU wide receiver: He got better looking at every practice. His height, weight and speed quotient was only outdone by his desire to play. I stood next to this kid most of the week, and he gave great effort every time the ball was snapped.

Looks like Bowe has potential to fly up the charts to follow suit with his teammate Jamarcus Russell.

    Time to get paid!

Bowe's one of my all time favorites. I loved watching him truck over db's. If he hadn't had eye trouble last year; who knows how well he could have done as far as draft status is concerned. He'll be tough to replace. One of the funniest things I've ever seen an LSU player do is when Bowe handed a Gerogia defender the football after he scored. Too bad UGA went on to trounce us. Thanks Saban.

The week 3 practice video is pretty much all on Bowe. They showed some pretty impressive blocks from this season and the play when he ran over that defender.

They project him as the 4th best receiver with three juniors in front of him(Johnson, Jarrett, Ginn). They have Buster at 6th.

The guys on a sports talk show here in DFW have mentioned his name a couple of times to watch out for.

My best memory of Bowe this season was when he went one on one with an Ole Miss or Arky LB and put him on his butt.

I think he will be a high second. Not the greatest speed but good hands, big, and great in the open field, and he doesn't fumble.

On Mike and Mike, Mel Kiper said he is really doing well this week and he has probably played himself into a late 1st round pick!!! Couldn't happen to a greater guy!!!! I'll miss seeing #80 on Saturdays.

Calvin Johnson is probably the only receiver that "should" be ahead of him in the draft.

I would love to see the Saints take Bowe with the 27th pick (assuming they can settle some of their defensive issues in free agency). He and Colston would be a prototypical receiver tandem in the West Coast Off.

You can't have 2 possession receivers in an offense.
