I do believe it is a straight buyout; no extra language allowing for exclusions by either side.

straight (and large) buyout. How-evah ...... if the Bammers are thinking Tubs would be interested in Dallas by way of his longstanding relationship with Jerry Jones, it will be (very) wishful thinking ..... :D

I've seen a few talking about it...and my first thought was that J. Jones wasn't going to pay an 7MM buyout. But, I wasn't sure if it excluded NFL teams. I was reading a bit on Tressell's contract this morning and his includes a buyout clause for NCAA teams, but not one for NFL teams.

Haha. I'm thinking I don't want him to leave. I believe coaching was the reason Auburn won last year's Iron Bowl and it wasn't Auburn's coach who was the difference. I'm not one of those who are ready to crown "the one whose name can't be mentioned" as the next greatest coach at Bama, but I think Bama won't lose as many games as we did in '06 because of ineptitude on the HC's part. Auburn will probably still win their share, but it'll be based on talent more than bumbling coaches.
