What if Michigan had played Ohio State in the BCS title game

A Michigan and Ohio State rematch would've been immeasurable on my I-don't-give-a-$hit meter.

 

No doubt. Wonder what the TV ratings would've been ?

 

Hence why we will probably never see a playoff. And that sucks because if you take all of the mock playoff scenerios from the end of this season there would have been some great matchups.

 

It was fun watching both of them get blown out in the bowls. I don't guess the networks will rethink their big 10 favortism though. :dis:

And what's up with still calling it the big 10 when there are eleven.

 

I don't know as much as many of the posters here, I'm just a fan. There's a difference between those students of sports who post here whose thoughts I find incredibly interesting and those of us who, well, just love the games. I don't predict the outcomes of games well. My heart always gets in the way. I was in Vegas one time during the basketball tourney and bet $20 on Centenary just because.:hihi:

I did enjoy that my predictions on the BCS games, especially the championship game, were as good as most of the experts. Better than most. Occasionally, the blind hog does find an acorn.

 

When some pointed out that Michigan deserved another crack at Ohio State I always pointed out that the 1st game proved only that neither team had a defense; at least a defense worthy of comparison to the SEC.

It is indeed fortunate that the rematch dreamed of by the media did not happen because it would have been another 70 point plus close game and the rest of college football would be mere afterthoughts, Tressel would be lauded as a genius and the Big 10 hype would have continued unabated.
