and I will follow this up shortly with a thread praising a coach that should otherwise probably be fired
I don't think going into another SEC's home stadium and having to pull a win out in overtime is a "gimme". see 2005 LSU/Bama game. Also if I recall Ole Miss didn't lay down and LSU didn't cake walk through the 2006 Ole Miss/LSU game. Miles has earned his stripes in the SEC. There aren't many "gimmes" in this conference....
Jumping the Fence.... I am officially on the side of CLM. It appears that almost everyone is going to back our Head Coach now without question. GO TIGAHZ!!!!!!!!!
What sold me more than anything on Miles is his integrity. After watching the entire Saban fiasco, that attribute is magnified that much more. This is his 2nd complete recruiting cycle (as well as nabbing Perrilloux at the tail end of the 04 recruiting season), and based on his character and his recruiting prowess, I am convinced he the right man for the job. And now he goes out and gets Crowton. Even he realizes he can't do this alone and has surrounded himself with arguably the best OC/DC combo in all of college football. No, he HAS the best OC/DC combo in all of college football. I would not trade Miles for any other coach in college football right now.
Re: Jumping the Fence.... you need to post this with the Max thread stating the exact same thing then we can delete this thread
Those kinds of games have always been on the schedule. I suppose we also shouldn't count them for Dietzel, Cholly Mac, or Saban.
Yeah, but you're from bama so you probably don't think the Bear's dead either. Ya want a "Gimme?" Here's one: Gimme a break! :thumb:
3 out of 4 losses were very winnable for CLM and the tigers. Last year's SEC championship game was the only during Miles tenure in which LSU didn't have opportunities to turn the tables.
