Big tight ends often bulk up and become fine offensive tackles with quick feet. Marcus Spears bulked up and became an All-American DE.

Coach Miles wanted an OC who had a strong passing game. Miles wanted 2/3 of LSU's yardage to come from passing and 1/3 from running.

I think Crowton will have total control of the offense. This guy is an offensive genius. While he was at Louisiana Tech they beat Alabama twice and almost beat Auburn with much inferior talent. I dont think he will throw as much as he did at La Tech only because he didnt have the O-line and running backs to run the ball effeciently. I think he is a great hire.
