You ever see when sean payton has an empty backfield and 5 wide? lol kinda like that. But he ran this at la tech and byu when he had no keiland williams. you can bet he adjusts this to take advantage of our skill positions both in the backfield and wr. i think he coached tim rattay when he was putting up gaudy numbers with that wr who pitt drafted but pretty much bombed. i guess this means he has solid ties up in north La and east tx which should be great for recruiting. another big plus. also, hes well respected and well-liked across the country. i dont think he burns bridges so to speak.
Great, great hire. Now we can finally see what its like when you unleash your athletes. Im extremely happy with this hire. Miles made a great choice! Crowton likes to throw first to open up the run, which I always thought was the best bet for LSU. It appears the OL pass blocks better, which opens up the D, helping the run blocking. Crowton is pass happy but he also seeks balance and knows he has to establish the run. With a prolific offense to go along with a top tier D, LSU will be hell. I just hope we could keep Crowton for a few years. In the process Id like to see someone groomed for his successor.
By yardage. I had not thought about his recruiting ties, that is a huge plus. Here is an interesting article from the advocate talking a little about Crowton. http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/5187021.html
We'll have the players to spread it out and open it up. That makes me want Mcknight even more....great receiver too. Quarterbacks that will run and shoot......we're going to not only pick up where we left off but reach a new level.....Go Miles! :thumb:
I bet when Crowton shows up in Baton Rouge, he has a SMILE on his face. Oregon to LSU!!! How'd you like to see Flynn and Perrilloux, Jarrett Lee, Doucet, Lafell, Broussard, K. Williams, Scott, Hester, a bunch of good young tight ends, an experienced o-line. Man, that would look GOOD to me. I'd be smiling for a while, at least 2 weeks.
