Interesting. I don't see this guy coming here and have total control of the offense, but why else would he come here.
This guys offense is nothing close to "conservative". When he was at La. Tech they ran a wide open, keep up if you can type offense. Great hire if it's official.
"Crowton's career has focused on spread offenses that feature quarterback development." I like the sound of that. We surely didn't have that in Fisher. Everyone will soon forget about Fisher after these next few years, if this is indeed our OC. Then you'll be asking yourself "what if", especially concerning the 2006 season.
Oregon ranked 9th in the NCAA in total offense in 2006...2 spots higher then LSU and without the weapons we have (is that a telling stat to the weak PAC 10 defenses?)..........I have faith in Les that this is our guy. http://statistics.ncaafootball.com/...otball&page=cfoot/stat/ncaa-team-totaloff.htm
Does anyone know where Oregon's O finished up this year? It does sound pretty good though...allot of experience.
Good gracious... Fisher developed Damien Craig at Auburn... Rohan Davey, Matt Mauck, Matt Flynn and Jamarcus Russell.... Yes.. what if Les had given Jimbo full play calling at Auburn and Florida..
If Les gives him total control of the offense this is a very good hire. I liked what I saw at LA. Tech and Chicago.
