I have felt doubtful myself over the course of Miles' tenure and voiced it - getting basically the same flaming responses from many. I have to say I am more confident of Miles than I have ever been and there is a point where you just have to let go and enjoy the ride.

It's been a good ride so far with Miles driving, so instead of sitting in the passenger's seat staring intently at traffic and thinking I would have done this or that (don't know if any of you folks do that) I'm going to look at the trees and not worry about the traffic. I'm going to try to enjoy the ride.

Miles continues to recruit well, we have good players and coaches. We have a good record under Miles and a few impressive wins. We are still nationally recognized as a powerful program. And I think there is something to Miles now. He may not have the personality of Saban, but as many have stated, he seems more honest. He seems more emotionally invested. He's a little bit cocky at times. If he continues to bring in good players and coaches, I think Miles can continue having success at LSU for a long time. Miles could possibly become synonomous with LSU.

I don't know if the program is continuing to grow (Academic Center for Athletes, Football Operations, Weight Room, New Cage for Mike, Bigger/Better Stadium) under Miles, but I hope so. I haven't heard much on that front lately. I'm also very interested on what coaches we bring in this year and what players we land in recruiting.

I appreciate you posting with genuine concern - don't let a few flaming hecklers entrenched in being "in the know" keep you from posting your true feelings. Some of us actually appreciate genuine conversation, even if we don't agree with your point of view.

This has been said in other threads, but it deserves repeating...Les Miles is the HEAD coach; the offense is HIS offense. The defense is HIS defense, too. There is a reason the OC and DC are called assistant coaches.

Burying the hatchet as we speak...

I get fired up when people talk about the program going downhill after back to back 11-2 seasons.

This is getting really ridiculous. Two 11-2 seasons. Yea, the program is really on a downward spiral. When is this Miles bashing going to stop? The kind of nit-picking you do is absurd. Apparently you and others want a coach that never, ever makes any kind of a mistake at any time. GOOD LUCK!

In other news........the govenor decided today to postpone her hysterectomy, citing insurance co-payments and prescription drug costs as her reasons. :hihi:

I thought I had the perfect coach to make everyone happy. Never makes mistakes, always sees 15 -20 plays ahead, can read the other coaches mind. But He was busy ... the whole creation thing ya know.:dis:
