nah, he wasn't 100% honest... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/magazine/features/si50/states/louisiana/essay/
Howie was QUOTING someone from the ND staff when he made that comment. I dont remember if he said Fat Ass was the one to say it, but I am pretty sure thats who it came from.
I enjoyed the telecast. Bradshaw is a Louisiana boy so he had a definite LSU slant and he was the color commentator so almost all his comments were pro LSU. I watched it High Def, great sound, great game and the refs actually had the guts to overturn a reply (unlike SEC refs).
Yeah, bradshaw has always been true to his roots as a Louisiana boy. Even in NFL broadcasts, he mentions that players are from LSU or Louisiana-bred. As an LSU fan, i was very impressed with his play by play tonite but ND fans might not feel the same  At the end, in the postgame, he said "It was a great win for our state" so he probably didn't follow the general rule of being an objective commentator, but who really is in this day and age. I got a lot more respect for him now, and hope to see him do some more commentating.
Brown was an idiot. His reason was the time of possession. They can have it if it makes em feel better.
Someone with me said that one of them called Wies the fattest person on the planet. I think I heard something that sounded like that but I wasn't sure and couldn't believe they'd say something like that. If they did though, they are winners for the best broadcast ever in my book.
By the end of the game, all of these dudes were singing the praises of LSU. I even heard Howie say that "LSU is just loaded," in reference to the future. The broadcast didn't bother me. I was more distracted by the poor officiating, especially in the first half.
Yeah I did, but this is also the same guy that was talking about snow on the field and His name on the scoreboard with Touchdown Jesus behind it, so yeah.
