losing your top 2 wr's and and a possible # 1 pick overall in the draft and possibly the first DT taken as well as the first safety is dreaming if you think we wont miss a beat. all this hype how we have a good chance to go undefeated in the face of all that is blind optimism at best.

I think we have a season very similar to this year. the inexperience will counter the easier schedule so we will have 2 losses in the regular season I would guess.

I am not convinced he is a great coach. He has had 22 5 star players the last 5 years, and 48 4 stars. That would make ANY coach look good. I guess I would agree he is a great recruiter, but with that much talent I don't know if he is a great coach.

    BigWee_TEAMKATT Victory for LSU!!!

He has already flopped in the NFL, which is why he will probably stay at USC.

PURPLE TIGER HOPE is not a strategy!

Trust me I remember his past NFL experience. I'm just hoping he'll be persuaded to rejoin Lienart in Arizona. Hopefully they'll throw enough dollars his way to convince him he can win the second time around.

Michigan had more experienced talent than SC had on both sides of the ball yet were outcoached like clueless goons in the 2nd half. that has happened on many occassions during their streak. 52-5 over 57 games with 34 in a row.

id say coaching came into play on more than one occassion.

no chance of that happening unfortunately. actually i guess he is good for college football overall.

    Contained Chaos Don't we all?

I hear ya, though, tirk. I keep waiting for the Trojans to start sliding, but it just hasn't happened. And the time was right, with them losing such a stellar backfield. But somehow, they're just able to plug in new guys everywhere and get nearly the same results as a team. That's coaching.

And I've beaten the 'weak schedule' drum a number of times as well. But, they always step it up against the good teams, whether in conference or not.

Don't get me wrong, though. I wanted to punch his little snotty ass every time I saw him celebrating on the sidelines. Even my girlfriend (who is actually a huge football fan) was saying, 'You're a coach! You can't get that happy until the game is over!'

Recruiting is a big part of being a good coach and winning is what helps recruiting.

I hate USC but I dont deny Carroll is right there with Spurrier and Tressel as the best coaches. Carroll outcoached Carr yesterday, that was a big reason why USC trounced Michigan. The guy comes across as a real players coach. He seems to have a great rapport with his players. He brings in the best recruiting class year in and year out and finds ways to play whoever is the best player. Like he said about Booty not going into next year as the starter. That is why he wins and that is why he is the best.

When people say "petey" it reminds me that I have a dog named Petey. I thought the name fit.
He is slightly retarded. His eyes are sorta close together. He was mean as a Puppy. He is a very likable Pup though, super friendly to humans.

My wife says he is the equivalent of an Axe murderer in the animal world, cause he kills the wild life he can catch, then seems to act dumb about it.

    that is all.
