Its bush! Its not business its money whoring. The business side is the fact that he was brought into there to get a job done.

Crip...we all know there is something wrong with you (shouldnt have set yourself up for that)!!;)

I totally agree with you. If you sign on the dotted line and commit to something, you should abide by your decisions until you are not obligated by that contract anymore. I know you were in the service Crip so...when you signed on that line there was NO backing out for you!! (there is a way...but not a pain free way).

I also dont think this is about money...Saban is getting paid where he is at...so this in my mind is a decision of whether he can coach the big pro babies better, or college kids striving to become a pro babies!

True. Plus the difference b/w what he's making now and what he'll be making at Bama is negligible when you're talking about that kind of cash. RedElephants made the analogy b/w making 10/hr and 20/hr. Well, ignoring the obvious, but expected, gross mathematical error there, it's a completely different story. It ain't like Nick is barely getting by right now. He, and his family, for generations to come (if he plays his cards right) are set for life under his current terms. Hell, that was the case when he was here. So for people to play the 'Oh, don't act like you wouldn't take the money' card is horsesh!t and a reflection of their own values.

If he takes the Bama job something is going on that has not been made public. I think its more than money and his lack of recent success. I don't think his meetings with the Dolphins owner were about advice on his decision. Its more probable that there are some unknown issues that have him considering this move. There has been a lot of talk about the Dolphins being sold. Who knows what other issues there may be. If he's successful in the NFL, which I think he will be, he'll make more money in the long run than he'll ever make in college.

Well I certainly don't like what I just saw on the 6:00 News over here in Pensacola.

Looks like he is actually considering it. If he takes it, I'll gladly go to the next LSU home game vs. Alabama for some BBQ Saban! :angryfire

So true. Have honor to your commitments. Dont leave a job unfinished. I liked what Mark May was saying, "Id like to be Sabans moving company." I wonder when ADs and NFL owners will tire of Saban flirting with ever new offer that comes his way? I dont care how good of a coach he is, I wouldnt have him as my coach.

very true, BUT as you read its more or less 3 to 5 opinions on the subject and all the rest are "yeah I agree" or "No thats not whats happening"

But then again this is the same group of posters that have had threads about: Words, pictures, movie quotes, and NOTHING run for as many as 35 to 50 pages, and the added fact that there is NO LSU football within sight.

    I think it is understandable!:thumb:
