When LSU played Tulane @ Zephyr for a regular season game, beer was sold. I bought plenty of them. I think for regular season games, the home school decide if they sell it or not. I'm thinking if it's the venue's decision, then there is no way the Superdome passes up the opportunity to sell an @$$load of $6.00 beers.
In the 2002 Sugar Bowl (LSU vs. Illinois), alcohol was available for purchase inside the Superdome. Drink responsibly.
I got the same T shirt and a Sugar Bowl cap as Christmas gifts. :thumb: That's the good news. The bad news is no tickets were enclosed.
Yeah...its an SEC thing, not an NCAA thing. Thats why they didn't sell beer at the SEC Championship. But they did sell beer at the Capital One bowl in 2005 and the Sugar Bowl in 2004. I imagine most, if not all, bowl games have beer available. Heck the Capital One Bowl even had a stand selling liquor drinks.
There is an NCAA rule prohiniting alcohol sales at "Championship Events" (i.e. SEC CG). That's the only restriction made by the NCAA regarding alcohol. Well, that and no more than 60 sec. worth of alcohol commercials per hour of televised brodcast.
No one should worry about it anyway, since when have rules stopped us from drinking at LSU games. :hihi:
