Thanks for correcting that, I wasn't aware of it. :thumb: If we were lucky enough to have him next year, I'm sure we could get some posters behind Corso for gameday when they come to BR too.

Troy Smith did not have a great Junior year. He was a starter for most of the year but people forget that he was benched in many games and the backup had to come in. After he was benched, he didnt start a few games and they used a 2 QB rotation. This also happened in the Texas game last year. However, he was at the top of the heisman list this preseason with a decent junior year. So it is not out of the question that JR could be top 2 on the preseason heisman list as long as he gets some recognition from our school and the media.

If Saban came back to coach, do you think he'd keep
    Miles on the staff?

What? It's a stupid, pointless question? ok.

Thats what Im saying that Russell could be #2 next year after McFadden and definitely in the top 5. Smith came on at the end of his junior season and finished very strong in the bowl against ND. That was the catalist for him being hyped as the top Heisman candidate this year. If Russell has a great Sugar Bowl and comes back he will be in a similar position.

I see I put my initial post in the wrong thread.

Ill answer that question with a question. What college does Quinn attend?

Secondly, I never said Quinn deserved to go. My personal top three for the Heisman would have been: 1) Smith, 2) McFadden, 3) Rice.

Seems very unfair that no other team in the nation has an exclusive deal with national tv. The half time shows, pregame shows and the football exposure gives ND an unfair advantage over every other university.

One consolation is it hasn't translated into any bowl wins in 8 tries. :thumb:

Of course Universities promote their kids for the Heisman when they think there in the running for the upcoming year. Member four or five years ago when Oregon put that GIGANTIC picture of Joey Harrington on the side of a skyscraper in times square before the season even started for his senior year. I'd call that some hard core money being spent on promotion. Actually speaking of, let's try to get skip excited about doing that for J. Russel next year haha.......
