    My only problem with the white helmets is that there should have been a gold stripe between the two purple stripes, making it a true reverse of the normal helmet. As for jerseys, it would be fun to see how the purple ones would look with the white helmets. I think, however, we'll see the same everyday unis for the Sugar Bowl. Outside of the Dinardo era, LSU football isn't known for daring fashion statements

    White jerseys. Gold hats. Gold pants. Period.

    Dinardo was the last coach who messed with the uniforms and look what happened. White helmets, purple pants and gold jerseys all belong to the 1990s along with 8 losing seasons. Let them stay there.
