Well i think we just got kicked to the Sugar Bowl and Notre Dame. Just wasnt meant to be guys. USC has just become even more hated than before. We will see what happens. guess we better watch on Fox Tomorrow eh !!!I
im concerned that the voters already showed by way of moving USC up to #2 that they don't want a OSU v Mich rematch. Yet at the same time. Alot of them feel Mich is the #2 team and deserves a shot. The SEC doesn't seem to have much pull with the media. Noted by Auburn 2 years ago.
No, you were right, have another beer:thumb: I didn't see that clause that says AND if no teams qualifies under paragraph No. 5. That team would be Michigan, making LSU at BCS 4 NOT an automatic qualifier. I can't imagine LSU getting screwed out of the BCS, but you never know.
Honestly, I think Florida needed a dominant second-half blowout of Arkansas to play for the NC, and that didn't happen. The voters moved USC up thinking they wouldn't get beat twice by unranked teams in the same season, thus avoiding a rematch. But now, given how close Mich. played OSU the first time on the road, they look like a more clear-cut #2, while Florida nearly blew it against S. Carolina and had other close games. Florida will have a legitimate gripe, but that's the kind of result we'll have to live with until some form a playoff is finally put into place.
Not convinced thats the statement they made. Here is what the polls looked like after Michigan lost. This was not much of a resounding statement that they didn't want a rematch, possibly even an indictment that they wanted a rematch. That was only 10 Harris voters and 8 coaches away from a virtual tie. Harris (114 voters) 2. USC.........2621 3. Michigan...2620 Coaches (63 voters) 2. USC.........1444 3. Michigan...1428
