These are the headlines I'm seeing from the media. USF came just as close if not closer to losing their game than we did yet they "dominated" and "stifled" WVU and we "held on and escaped with a win"... Headlines like this are going to influence voters who spent friday doing things other than watching football (and I bet there were a lot). Just looking for some consistency here! I have a bad feeling that it's our turn to be the SEC team that gets screwed by the BCS.

I agree completely. I am already planning for the disappointment. It won't ruin the season IMO but it will rob the Tigers of some much deserved respect and recognition for getting 10 wins in what may have been the toughest road schedule in the history of college football.

WHO CARES? it was the biggest win in USF history and they shut down two great players in White and Slayton ..... LSU won but was dominated by two great players ..... a win is a win

So two players make a football team now? I could sware I saw 22 on the field on Friday. Fact of the matter is that LSU brought 50+ players into Arkansas and beat them just as handily as USF beat WVU but if you read the headlines you'd have thought we needed a goal line stand to win the game and that USF layed some wood to WVU. I don't see how that makes any sense.

No worries, we get plenty of respect. USF was a 3 TD underdog going into that one, so the headlines are gonna be like that. We on the other hand, were pretty much an even matchup with Arkansas, so the headlines are naturally not gonna be so dramatic. Why even worry about minute things such as how a writer titles his article anyway?

I hate ESPN. They may be joining Sony on my no-use-of-services list very soon. If only there was a better alternative out there.

    Here's your explanation:

You found something that made you mad and it had an impact. If you had seen a headline praising LSU it would have barely registered, and since you think the media is out to get southern football, small, meaningless things set you off.

It wouldn't need to be better. ABC is setting ESPN up to lose. Now is the time for FOX to jump out there with some sort of Game day of their own. :geauxtige

The impressive aspect of beating Arky was exposing them as a one-dimensional team, the way no one else could (not counting USC). We beat them despite the fact their two stud RB's laid almost 300 rushing yards on us. It says a lot about the Tigers that they could overcome that and still win!
