Wow Ohio State sold out their home game against Michigan, wonder why LSu can't keep their stadium packed :nope:
Well I suspect its not just LSU games. It is a trend in many stadiums at college and pro level. Fans just aren't what they used to be. I live in Houston and have season tickets to the Texans. Regardless of if they are winning or losing the stadium clears out heavily around the end of the 3rd quarter. Reasons being mostly cause of people wanting to miss traffic even though traffic is not a bad issue at Reliant. Also such high prices in the stadium on drinks and food, when you can go out to your tailgate and drink and eat for free. In general I think it is just the nature of today's fans they are not such diehards as years past and most are just big money folks who are there just for the entertainment and when they get bored they leave. Just an opionion though as I am sure others have heard different reasons. B
They might as well leave early tonight for the lack of enthusiasm. The crowd is deader than the team.
Hawthorne kept saying it but he didn't have to with the way it was sounding as to how we were playing.
Wow #1 vs #2 in the nation. Tough sell there. Truly amazing actually. It sure is puzzling why LSU can't keep the stadium packed until the end of a 45-0 blow out against the top 10 powerhouses like Tulane and ULL.
We have a full stadium all the way around, they left a horseshoe-shaped stadium. Horseshoes remind them of being on the farm.
We do. But there have been so many blowouts this year that a lot of fans leave early to beat the traffic. You have a close game (like tonight) and no one leaves.
I didn't see that...sure when we were down it wasn't very loud at times but believe me that place was rockin in the 4th and was still packed. The lack of enthusiasm was due to the offense sputtering through much of the second and third quarters but given that boost in the 4th and it was roaring. Blowouts tend to empty the place early but if I paid as much as it costs to get a seat today I'm keeping that sucker till 00:00 in the 4th you can believe that. Tonight, after we were released, I walked to my truck at the Ag Center at 10:45 and was home in Walker by 11:30. You just have to know where and how to park.
