At an LSU game ? Shirley you jest. Personally, I would stick to Sarranos and the Chimes, close to campus and there will be lots of people there (Hooray, we are getting a Sarranos in Lafayette ! Its where the old Booty's used to be aka Poor Man's Hooters )

To all the Tigers... If you go to Austin, and you like Mexican food, you have to go to El Arroyo. They have some of the best Tex-Mex you'll ever have. Order the Enchiladas Del Mar. Instead of meat of cheese, they are stuffed with shrimp!! Every time I go thru Austin, I always make a point to stop and eat at El Arroyo.

Another good Mexican Restaurant is Baby Acapulco's.....Brisket Tacos.

If the band is playing for TAF in the Pmac at 5:00 how are they going to be marching down the hill at 5:00? I've never seen the band come down the hill 2 hours before the game. At the earliest it's 1 and 1\2 hours prior. 1\2 hour in the Pmac and then they march to the hill.

If you are looking for the college crowd go to fred's and all the bars around there. Pasttimes is pretty old school. Definitely goto the chimes, varsity, serrano's, slinkys (ask for a round of lunchbox's) on chime's street, and chelsea's .

We generally step off from the band hall at 5, then slowly head to the PMAC, play there, and then go around and down the hill. All of that takes from 30-45 minutes.

Make sure to get to your seats early enough to see the pre-game show. I am curious to know if it gives you chills like it does to me.

    Please report back.

    Have fun.
