I haven't really watched them this year but it seems everyone is scared of McFadden. I just don't see how Ark could have turned it around this fast to the point where their fans are getting cocky about running things in the Western division from now on. Can someone who has watched them give me the low-down? Will we go into F-ville as dogs?!

I will be having full bodied euphoria when UGA upsets Aub, Tenn gives us the gameplan to beat Arky, and we give Bama the beating of a lifetime this weekend. I can feel it coming... :geauxtige

McFadden, when healthy, is the best SEC RB I've seen this year. Don't know how serious his ankle ding is but Arkansas is clearly not the same team without him. I can't figure their QB situation. Mustain was hyped as a worldbeater earlier in the year, throws a pick in the first quarter last Saturday and gets the hook from Nutt. Go figure. Arkansas's freshman TE is pretty good. And Houston Nutt evidently has a horseshoe in his azz. :hihi:

Alabama had them beat 3 different times, this team that is currently ranked no. 12.

if it wasn't for tiffin, "lowly" bama beat the hogs on the road.... so what does THAT say?

Just seems like things have come together this year. Last year we didn't have depth. McFadden and Jones running the ball with Smith as a great third back. Hillis (fb) has played roles as a good runner, great blocker and a receiver that is second on the team in receiving. The offensive scheme has gotten better with our new OC. We were scared to change QB's last year, but with Mustain and Dick coming through when needed we can play who's hot. Defense line play has gotten better each game. Weak point is defense secondary; not players just scheme. We will play you in the Rock, not Fayetteville. Hope this helps. I am one fan that is not cocky but hope we run the table. Although, it is all possible for us to lose the last three games if our players heads get as big as our fans. Go Hogs!!:thumb:

The only two things that worry me about this game is McFadden and the fact we are playing it in Little Rock. I believe LSU is the only team to beat Nutt in Little Rock and we only did it once. Then again we had only won once all time in Knoxville. Maybe this is our year to break the one win streaks.

Doesn't say much for either team. Last year we would have(and did) lose the close games. That is the way it is in football.

LSU is the only decent team we play at the Rock. And I fear that it could happen again this year. But I do like our chances. I'll be there (up above the LSU fans) and we'll see how it turns out. Let's hope for a great game. Go Hogs!!

LOL.. so, who would you rather be right now?

And before you say it, I'll say it... at Iowa, we'd rather be just about anybody else!

Hawg, I will say this... your staff deserves kudos for keeping the team focused after your "preseason game". It's all about confidence and execution now. Who cares how close some past win was... you won.
Your next few games will be interesting to watch.
He who makes the fewest mistakes... and all that stuff....

We're still not sure even here in Arkansas if we are as good as hyped. We've gotten veerrrry lucky several times, and the Ole Ball Coach nearly worked his voodoo against us again Saturday. McFadden is the real deal (maybe the best player, not just running back, in the country), and will be 100% against Tenn this weekend. Since their run defense is suspect, I actually expect a pretty easy win. We will play super-conservative and take them something like 24 -14.

All that being said, there are some major chinks in our armor that are there for the taking. Secondary is average at best, and we've just lost our starting FS for the year. Chris Houston is a stud CB, but can be picked on because he is left in 1-on-1 almost 100% of the time. QB situation is confusing even here. Mustain is 8-0 as a starter, but gets pulled. Casey Dick is a good QB, and safer, but I have to question the call. Lastly, believe it or not, Nutt is still a sub-par coach. The reason we are winning is because of our high school offensive coordinator, Gus Malzahn. The man can flat-out coach, and will be a head coach at D-I soon, hopefully here. The only problem is there are still lingering power-struggle issues between the two, and Nutt is trying to wrest play-calling duties away from Gus, as the hire wasn't his idea in the first place.

Anyway, good luck guys. I hope however, that our game in the Rock is meaningless at that point, if you know what I mean!

Well lad de da....I hope your team isn't looking at Tennessee as an "easy win" as you say it. If so, you're in for a loooooooong day my friend.
