    After seeing those stats, I STILL, for the life of me, question as to WHY any of you claim that you're just not comfortable with JR as our starter??? Most of these QB's on the list remain fan-favorites and are viewed as players that you would trust, yet JR is ahead of, or fastly approaching the majority of our former QB's.
  2. I believe it has to do with the lack of an SEC Championship and lack of a big bowl win for JR, but i agree, if he stays next year and goes out in a bang, he could be one of LSU's greatest QB's of all time.

    I still don't understand why Matt Flynn isn't our starter.
  4. I believe that he already IS one of the greatest LSU QBs of all time.
  5. Alot of those stats are also padded by the fact that WRs he is throwing too are pretty much the BEST in LSUs HISTORY.

    And its easy to look at the good, how about how many sacks, int, lost yardage where does he stand at these stats?

  7. That was a good laugh...after reading the first post i knew it wouldn't be long before somebody said it!
  8. Well, those things are accomplished with the help of a good over-all team effort throughout the year. You can't win a championship without a solid cast around you (not that he doesn't have one now--we do--we just happened to lose the SECCG last year and need some help to reach it this year) and perhaps some lucky breaks.

    But you can post great stats without much (i.e. *insert any Texas Tech QB here*).
  9. I couldn't find stats for INT's or sacks for the rest of the QB's, but as for this season, JR has only been sacked 8 times.
  10. So wht you're sayin is that as a Junior, he's almost as good as Herb Tyler and Tommy Hodson were as true freshmen?
