On a day which saw one of the greatest college football games of the year in LSU vs. Tennessee, can someone explain to me why ESPN decided to devote 10+ minutes on SportsCenter to a freakin horse race and less than 3 minutes on game highlights?
because the breeders cup was on espn all afternoon...synergy but, did anyone here the they had to put a horse down after the $2 million race
If it was USC, they would have devoted a 5-part SportsCenter segment to how the '06 team is the best of all time...oh wait.
well they are looking to win their 4th straight championship. we might as well just crown them right now, send that memo out to ann arbor and columbus, no need to play im surprised they didnt get a game changing nominee for entering the pac 10 and playing stanford. i think they were going to give one to zbikowski for enabling a blowout, they gave on to desean jackson, the game was 21-10 at that point, totally goes against the meaning of "game-changing". stupid ESPiN
Well, I guess someone's gotta win the Big 10 title. I truly lost the vast majority of my repect for ESPN as sports journalists after the 5-parter last year. Gave plenty of motivation to Texas, though.
Yeah, look how well "synergy" worked for ESPN's Game Day ratings earlier in the season, when Herbie was working the late ABC game, while Fowler and the gang were at schools with matchups noone cared about.
yeah their humping of USC and NE were basically when i started to realize they were incredibly biased. yet, there is no other option so we are stuck watching ESPN and ESPN continues to think that we watch because of their viewpoints when we just watch for the information for the most part.
During the race, the horse, Pine Island, went down on the backstretch and broke her ankle. The break punctured the skin so the doctors were forced to euthanize her. Pretty sad stuff. My daughter is a real horse lover and came running in to tell us about it while the LSU game was on.
