Trying to figure out who I should pull for tonite (W. Va. - Louisville) I assume it'd be better for the Tigers for W. Va. to lose and have Louisville lose to Rutgers next week and Rutgers lose to W. Va. on Dec. 2. I think these picks would help us too. Tell me if I'm wrong as I don't really understand all the computer fuzzy math and who I root for determines much. Bama over Moo U Cocks over Hogs Auburn over Ark St Florida over Vandy Kentucky over Georgia Ole Miss over NW La.
Maybe its me but i don't see how any team beating anyother team helps LSU. I know it has somethign to do with the computers and SOS but LSU is ranked in the mid-teens in the BCS and i don't see how it is significant anymore? Maybe if LSU were in the top 5 it would matter but i'm just rooting for the team i like, all that SOS and computer stuff takes the fun out of watching college football.
That's the only reason I'm interested in tonights game, otherwise I wouldn't watch Louisville and WV at all. Any time a team ranked above your team loses it helps. Sometimes more than others but generally speaking, it's a good thing. If it's a team ranked higher that we play, we want them to win and we take 'em down. That helps us. I don't know the finer details of the BCS in detail either (many on this board are very well versed on it however) but that's a general thing you want to look for. I hope Louisiville beats WV cause Louisiville has to go on the road to play Rutgers and better chance Rutgers beat them so they all have 1 loss. WV plays Rutgers too but it's a home game for WV.
I'm pulling for the Ville. In my opinion, WVU is overrated and this game is their only chance of being exposed. The Cards takes out WVU and there is a chance they lose to Rutgers or Pitt. We don't need any of these overrated Big East teams taking up a spot, over a more deserving SEC team, in the NC game.
