I agree. But I doubt we hang 60+ on them. It's not our style--not even Saban ran up scores (I use La Tech in --was it '03 or '04? where Saban sat on the ball at the end of the first half even though we could have gotten another TD).

Well, 'Zona was scheduled some years back when they were thought to be a good matchup.... Fresno, up until this year, appeared to be a respectible non-conference matchup...

Next season appears to offer more competitive games in Tiger Stadium as Va Tech, South Carolina, Florida, Auburn and Arkansas are all on the home slate.

the only concern i have about this game is that at this point, the fresno st season is down the drain and they will be looking at this as a "season saver". just like any other team that has a record like theirs, if we jump out early, they will roll over. i watched a little of the hawaii game today, just pathetic tackling and defensive speed. on one play, a hawaii player caught the ball, ran forward 5-10 yards, came back to the LOS, was being tackled, pitched it to another hawaii player who promptly ran to the other sideline for a grand loss of 1 yard on what was probably a 15 second play....in the FIRST QUARTER. they also made a QB change this game and will be going with a little short guy named norton insteada brandstater. it should be a fun whoopin

I know. I just wish we had somewhat of a consistent home schedule each year. Every other year, we have an all-star lineup, but the even years I would almost rather travel over to the bluff and watch southern play. We have to find a way to get the miss schools at home on diff years. I know we have a difficult time scheduling out of conf b/c it has been leaked in the past where we have contacted Mich, Penn state, ohio state to come down but they only wanted us to play them up there. I agree that fresno and zona are not bad teams year in and year out, I just wish our SEC schedule would show more consistency as well.

I'm confused here. You mean LSU didn't want to schedule a home-and-home or LSU wanted a one-off deal?

LSU wanted to schedule a home&home, but Mich, Ohio State, & Penn State did not want any part of coming down to here to play. They just wanted us to go up there.
