Didn't realize this until today, but former Tiger, Brian Kinchen is a TV analyst for ESPN. He's currently doing the Miami/Houston game on ESPN2. Turning back the clock a bit, there are few former Tiger players that were as sure-handed as Kinchen.
I just switched over and noticed it when they had a camera shot in the booth. I think it's the first time I've noticed him doing a game.
Same here. I was watching it earlier...not particularly paying much attention to what was being said--or who was saying it for that matter. But I'm paying closer attention to his comments now. Hope he does well.
How did he sneak in ESPN's cult. Thought one needed a Pac-10, Big-10, or ND background?? Best of luck to him!!:geauxtige
He was good, and thankfully, ]he wasn't teamed with that chic (Roberts?) who usually does the games on the deuce. Did ESPN wise up and get rid of her?
If I think I know who you are talking about, no. She called a game today and had a celebrity in the booth at one point. That's how I saw her... I can't stand her...
I would mute the TV whenever I watched that girl on ESPN2 morning games. She knows football, but her voice was so annoying.
I am forever in debt to Brian Kinchen's lovely wife. In March 04, I drove the wife and kids to Florida and Walt Disney World. On the way back, we stopped in BR to reintroduce the kids to Mike The Tiger and hang around the campus for a few minutes before jumping back on the road back to Texas. This was on a Saturday afternoon.I was hoping to see the new BCS trophy our Tigers had earned just two months before. I had no clue where I could find it and the area was practically deserted. We were getting back in our car when I noticed the door to the Lawton room open and a short brunette carrying what looked like a large picture frame walked in. I asked my wife to get out of the car and walk over to check out what was going on. We approached the door as the young lady was walking out. At first she was a little alarmed and informed us that the area was off limits to visitors. We replied with understanding and told her we had no interest in crashing whatever event was going on. We talked for a couple of minutes and we learned that she was Brian's wife. She was there with her kids setting up a retirement party for her husband. She had some of his old jerseys in large frames and her children and her were unloading them from their van. I said that I didn't want to keep her any longer and started to leave. As I was leaving. Is then told her that the only reason I walked over here was on the off chance that the BCS trophy was kept there and had hoped to see it. She then asked, "Did you want to see the trophy?" She then looked all around to make sure that no one official was in the area and said: "Come on in!" She took us to the back of the Lawton room where the BCS and SEC trophies were displayed along with the Sugar Bowl trophy, Josh Reed's Biletnikof award, and JV's MVP trophy. There was a long line of murals of Tiger greats that I could have perused for hours, but I didn't want to overstay my welcome. I thanked her profusely and left. A great day to be a Tiger Fan!! http://http://www.jackjaubert.com/Bio/Bio.htm
