i think the problem is that we played moo u. what i mean is this. if LSU had jumped on a "name" school the rumblings would be far less. looked at the nc2a stats page and came up with some intersting stats.

auburn rushing vs moo u: 36 att, 111 yds

    s.car, rushing vs moo u: 29 att, 81 yds

moo u conference stats: (through 9-23)

3rd in SEC: tackes for loss

    7th in SEC: total defense

    6th in SEC: rushing defense

37th nationally: rushing defense (103.8 ypg) ahead of Ohio St, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Notre Dame

24th nationally: tackles for loss, ahead of LSU (29th), Note Dame, Iowa, Penn St, USC.

now i realize there are liars, damn liars, and statistics but i said all that to say this:

Moo U ain't bad against the run, and LSU ain't great running the football. I too am concerned but i'm confident the running game can produce the 100 & yds needed per game to keep the defense honest.

It's balance alright, but it should have been balanced in favor of the pass rather than the run.

Before the season, we were concerned about the o-line, its inexperience.

We were also concerned about running back, as our two upper classmen were both coming back from knee surgeries.

All of our concerns were well founded, the o-line does seem to pass block well, but run blocking is not too hot. The o-line can still gel, we can hope.

At running back, reward the kid that produces, right now, that's Charles Scott.

Heck, when I looked at the lack of experience in our O-line at the beginning of the season I was worried that not only would we not be able to run the ball but that Russell would be running for his life. Right now I am pretty happy that we can pass block so well.

So am I Red. You're starting to sound like "the sky is falling" kiddie brigade. Our problem next week will be controlling the Florida offense. We're going to move the ball on them whether it be in the air or on the ground. And we're going to score. Don't insult me just because you disagree with me.

WTF are you talking about? What insult? To simply have an opinion on this forum is to insult you these days.

You go beyond countering the doom-and-gloomers with some voice of reason. Sometimes you try to squelch any discussion that displeases you. Get laid or something and stop being such a crabby grouch. Your job here is to be witty.

heck yeah, did you see how bad we beat mississippi st? we crushed them. we're #1, we're #1. did you see the scoreboard. we beat them so bad. LSU is in good shape. we taught moo u a lesson. but i'm just glad we got out of there with a win - we'll make it far based on what I saw against moo u... a win. we are good because we win. we beat moo u.

we have an amazing team, we are two parts missing from perfection.
