Here is a still frame shot taken from an Auburn forum (www.aunation.net) showing the exact instance of the interference before the ball was tipped. Like the post says, if it isn't pass interference, is it not defensive holding.....Judge for yourselves. The SEC is not going to say "hey our officials totally screwed the game up." They are going to defend them and then quietly suspend them for a game or two after publically saying they made the right call. You be the judge....
the source of the picture is actually one of the newspapers that make up al.com it is posted there within the photo galleries. Nowhere does the photographer or editor claim the ball shown in the picture was pre or post tip
umm, it hasn't even gotten to the AU player yet so it has to be pre-tip. Also, haven't you seen a video of the play? There's no question that DB was hugging Doucet's leg before it got tipped. I'm sure you could back that picture up a few frames and the DB would still be making enough contact to draw the flag (which it did originally).
The SEC won't do chit. They will just pretend it didn't happen - just like they pretended the other blown calls didn't happen - and go about their merry, heads-up-thier-asses, way. From CLM's press conference, regarding the blown calls.... http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=5200&ATCLID=610234
If this wasnt pass interference, then how come it WAS pass interference when LSU interecepted the ball earlier in the game, didnt the refs make the same call but both times went against LSU. I am over it. AU is a great team, I am saddened the refs played such a HUGE factor in the game. Both teams are fantastic and if they played 10 times each team would win 5. We didnt get the breaks AU did. The SEC wont call out its own and surely not if it effects AU in the rankings by saying "The refs screwed LSU". Lets move on. Lets focus on Tulane and the rest of the schedule.
