Is it me, or has Les gained some reputation?

Beyond the disappointment, the frustration, and exasperation...

Les went into number 3 Auburn, and did more than hold his own. A few calls the other way, and the Tigers might have won that game by 10 points plus.

Many here felt Les simply would not hold up to the big SEC style matchups with top ranked teams. The Tigers were in the game to the end, contending with constant frustrations that often derail staff and players. Les has gained some credibility, IMO. What are your thoughts?

    From us, yes.

The people I met at Auburn gave him no respect. Kept saying once Sabans players are gone...blah, blah

That is what a lot of Tiger fans think too.

I think "Earned" would even be a better choice than "Gained"

Intially, I was unsure- but withheld judgement and wanted to see. Now, I believe he is a good fit for LSU. He has so much class. I believe the players will gravitate to him.

Thought he put us in a position to when a game that we would have won had it not been for things out of his control. Not to say that was the only thing that lost it but everyone's concerns were positions vacated that had to be filled with young players. I don't know if he won't be a better recruiter when it's said and done. I love Saban and it's no knock on him but remember Perrilloux- wasn't coming until Miles met with him. I don't think most people realize what the future holds for this team. Eugene, Cutrera, Francois, Woods, Williams, Scott...
I think you get the point. USC wanted Woods, Williams, and Scott- Miles snagged them. I have a good friend who is close to Al Wood's family, USC recruited him hard- he is a beast (Also very good basketball player).

Yeah, I like Miles. I think he deserves a lot of credit for what he accomplished under any conditions, but especially with what he had to contend with. How soon do we forget:

What I seen at Auburn was a coach who refused to play to his strength which are the recievers. He seemed intent to run the ball even though it was obvious after about the first quarter we could'nt. That concerns me. This team has too much talent at the reciever position to run the kind of offense they do.

That's a double edged sword. Our mostly mediocre OL could be laid at Saban's feet.

I recall a lot of people were upset with Saban in 2001 when he stuck with the run. Anyone remember the Ole Miss game?
