Bingo! And that's what Les Miles argued--only to be told, "Nope, the officials made the right call."

This gets more irritating every day, and I do hope the team chooses to focus on Tulane and the rest of the season. But, jeez, this stinks to high heaven.

The no-call PI on lafell in the endzone was a way way worse no call in my opinion. Lafell was stopping and coming back to the ball, easy TD, but Irons was wrapped around him stopping him from coming back to the ball. But whatever its over.

Our schedule to the BCS just got a lot easier though. We would be a lock for an at large bid and we don't have to worry about playing the best from the east.

Also, thank god kenny irons is gone after this year!

I agree. The Lafell no-call and the overturning of the Hester catch were much worse IMO. It just so happens the Doucet PI was at the end of the game almost. But the Hester replay overturn just baffles the mind. That rewrote everything about what I thought a catch was.

"The officials made all the right calls." (leans over and whispers over shoulder) "That's another ten grand, Tommy."

It also rewrote everything about what I thought undisputable video evidence was. The SEC is lucky they have the PI play to sweep this one under the rug with. :cuss:

But that was one of the bright spots of the game: we shut Kenny Irons down.

You're right. Even with the drive that Auburn scored on, Auburn did nothing remarkable to win that football game. That's what makes it so darn frustrating to me.

Les said it today at his press conference: We had so many ways to win that football game.

Absolutely, and that's what makes the SEC's answer more confusing.

Rule 2-19-4 states "A catchable forward pass is an untouched legal forward pass beyond the neutral zone to an eligible Team A player who has a reasonable opportunity to catch the ball. When in question, a legal forward pass is catchable."

Here's what the SEC media relations clown said. "Basically, the call of removing the flag would be correct because the ball was uncatchable after the defender tipped it," SEC media relations director Charles Bloom said Monday.

YO STUPID. The PI occurred before the ball was tipped. The key determination is was the pass catchable excluding the fact that the ball was tipped. In the mind of Tiger fans YES

Your weak a** explanation isn't making this injustice any easier to accept. I normally have a 24 hour rule where I try to forget what occurred in a game, but this incredulous attempt at an explanation has got my blood boiling. :angryfire
