After LSU lost to Fla. in '03 I pulled up NS's website and e-mailed the only address given to "contact" the athletic dept. I really doubt that my e-mail got through to any coaches but basically I said I was still proud of the team and to go out and win the rest of them. I had a feeling the day after LSU lost to Fla. that we would not only win out but would go to the NC game. I have had that same "feeling" from the end of the first game this year. I know red55 knows what he is talking about and everyone else that is in reality about the tough schedule this team faces this year. It is an impossible task. It can't be done. Too much riding against this team's schedule. If ever I saw an underdog LSU team riding, fighting and hitting it's way to a NC game this one is it. I have that "feeling" again. LSU! :champs: :champs:
I won't be too happy about it, but I won't get depressed just for the reason that we all know that this is a very very good team with much improved offensive/explosive firepower(something we haven't seen in quite a while). To me, it is already a win for the fans, and this season may prove to be an exciting one. I think it is kind of hard to think about the Nattional Championship nor SECCG at this early part of the season as there are just too many intangibles along the course. Thinking back to the 2003 season, no one ever thought that team would make it to the NC until the very last game... that was really destiny. I would just try to enjoy each game at a time, and hope that the players not put too much emphasis on whether the team will get to the SECCG or NC. Good things would happen if they keep at excelling. It often is fascinating how things would turn out because of fate. Geaux Tigers. ________ Kumho bmw championship
lol You have to admit that's pretty funny. :hihi: I think the "media darling" phrase has been beat to death. I'm not considering a loss, or any effects of a loss right now. LSU will win.
You do realize that some Aubie will post this link to an aubie board with the statement like "LSU fans planning on what will happen when they lose" ?
Realistically, but still a long shot, if we were to lose on sat. then we would still have a chance at the nc game even if we dont win the seccg. we would need auburn to lose one game, preferably the championship game. by the end of the seasons with huge wins over tough teams on the road we might have a high enough ranking to be in the top two. But we arent going to lose so who cares.
thanks for the callout on such a trivial subject... and halfway agreeing with me in the callout. 1. all i have is 06 because i don't play video games anymore and that's what i know. 2. i wasn't talking about recruiting or gameplay anyway, i was talking about the polling mechanisms. which is still only halfway correct but had nothing to do with researching anything, i know that the polling is "ap/coaches" but the bown projections are close to espn/si and how they project bowls while the actual bow selection is due to the same factors as real life most of the time. so thanks for the blind assumptions... just as i was thinking this board was free of the jackassitude... :dis:
