I just looked at the CollegeFootballNews.com BCS CG prediction and they have Florida State and USC. Are you freaking kidding me!! Did they watch the same game I did last Monday night. I know both defenses are pretty good but come on. Florida State will lose at least 2 games if they are lucky. I believe they will lose 3 or 4.

I don't know. I think FSU has a good shot at it this year. The defense is fantastic, and the offense will get better as the season goes along. Never underestimate how much a rivalry game can affect how a team plays. Look at their remaining schedule; other than Florida at the end of the season, they play nobody. Plus they only have 4 road games--none of which are tough.

I know we've lost a few studs this year. Do you realize what our defense would do to FSU if we played them in a bowl at the end of the year?

I remember reading on a Miami forum after the Peach Bowl how they said LSU was laying their a$$es out on the field after almost every play! We decimated them!! It was like they were rolled over by tanks!!!!! We would KILL FSU in a game!

These other out of conference teams don't stand a chance against us. We may get beat by another SEC team this year but not again by another out of conference team.

No way. FSU is bound to stumble once or twice this year, as recent trends dictate. They've been one of the most boring 'major' teams to watch for about the past 5 years or so.

USC may get there by default, considering their joke of a schedule. But no way do they win it.

I don't think FSU goes undefeated. Although it is a lot more plausible for them to go undefeated than any team in the SEC because of the quality of teams in the SEC. It is very possible that USC and FSU are the only undefeated teams and throw in WV also. No one in the SEC will be undefeated, it is very possible for OSU or UT to get a loss, one of them will have one this weekend. UT probably has the best chance to go undefeated if they win on Sat night behind USC, FSU, and WV.

So it is agreed that the SEC is the toughest but with a single loss the SEC champ will not even be considered for the NC, which really sucks.

Not sure how you figured that.... Didn't LSU play in the BSC championship game with a conference loss?

Also, given Auburn was 3 points from running the "conference table" last year... and ran the table in 2004, it doesn't appear as if it can't be done.:yelwink2:

I agree that it CAN be done. SEC schools are represented in the NC game fairly often. Heck, Auburn SHOULD have been there in '04.

True, and most Oklahoma fans, by the 4th quarter, wished Auburn had gotten the nod.:hihi:

Yes LSU did do it but there was much controversy and I believe the SOS factor has been changed since that time and would adversely affect a one loss team. I might be wrong but maybe someone can correct concerning the SOS.
