He's writing for the school newspaper, amigo. His job is to address the interests of his audience. Think about it. It doesn't mean he can't address a wider audience. He's got plenty of time to win the Pulitzer.

At Alabama you must say Coach Bryant (with capitals), never Paul or Bear. At Auburn all coaches are referred to by their initials preceded by a C (for coach presumably) CTT for Tuberville, CMR for Richt, etc. -- bizarre if you ask me. But this is LSU. We have coaches with names like Nick, Cholly, Jerry, Bill, Curley and Les . . . and that's what we call 'em!
If Jay Mariotti can get a job as a sportwriter I have faith, more so I KNOW Clair could do a better job them him.:thumb:

Not a Mariotti fan? Is this based only on his appearances on Around the Horn, or do you actually read his work? I've read a few of his articles and have always found them to be very good. Not trying to start anything, just curious.
