I'm sure you guys all know people like this. One of my friends from work considers himself a huge LSU fan. He has an LSU room in his home, LSU license plates on his cars, and LSU flag flying on the front of his house. Yet he calls Bowe the guy with the cornrolls, and just mentioned to me that he is excited to see Bubba Davis this year. How on earth can you consider yourself this big of a fan, yet you do not know anybody on the team's name? just ranting.
It's the way these guys come and go. In college, most players are lucky to have two productive seasons and then they're gone. When I watch the first game this year, just like every year I'll see some guy and think, "Holy sh*t - he's still on the team?"
its weird thatd he have the room and all and not know the names. usually u get the ones who claim to be big fans then say things like: josh reed really contributed to the national championship, it was nice to see mauck contribute in the peach bowl but whyd he change numbers?, or ryan perriwho? is he predominantly a football fan? maybe he is a baseball guy?
Those guys are the lucky ones in a sense, they just show up on Sat. or watch on TV, have a great time and never have to sweat the little things all of us do.
Like the DB dude (what was his name ?) said previously, "it's not the name on the back of the jersey, it's the name on the side of the helmet". (Or sumpnuther liken to that). :hihi:
