Should be a great game, starts on ESPN2 in a couple minutes.

Wonder how long I can stay interested for.

    30-19 UConn.

I may have to not watch. The score was 10-9 LSU when I turned on the game and it has been downhill from there. I may be a jinx.

Hard to believe LSU even made a game out of it in the end. Disappointing loss but considering the opponent and being in that place to play, it happens.

So, who wants to start the "How far do we have to go for Pokey to keep her job" thread?

Absolutely after getting blown out in the first half what a great comeback against a great great team at their place. IMO the difference in the game was that UCONN has outside shooters while LSU doesn't and they were able to pack it down low to stop Augustus and Fowles. Both teams are really good and should go far in the tournament but LSU needs to find some outside shooters if they want to win the whole thing.

It was a great comeback, I kinda got a little excited there... but damn that was a good comeback. I just REALLY love seeing those basketball schools lose. This is to them what LSU football is to us... Would have been nice.

As long as we judge our women's basketball like we judge men's basketball, football & baseball...

"One word describes Pokey: Choke! This is just one more example of her inability to win a game that counts. Think about what happens every time we go to the Final Four - we lose in the last couple seconds. Our athletes are doing their jobs. This is a simple case of bad coaching. We have the women's basketball player of the year and this coaching staff doesn't put her or our other super star, Sylvia Fowles, in place to succeed... It's so obvious. I'm not being negative here, just honest. This coaching staff will never win a national championship. Bank on it." :hihi:
