:bncry: Sorry guy. I have a 10 month old black lab and I love her to death. I love dogs. Again, i'm sorry you lost a good puppy.
So sorry for your loss. I lost my 10 year old English Bulldog after the storm while we were still in a hotel.
Did your dog eat "Diamond" brand dog food? I just heard on the local news that they are recalling this brand of dog food for poisoning some pets. If your dog ate that food, you may want to look into it... edit: Whoops, follow TigerKid05's link...
Here is a link to more information on the dog food recall. I am truely sorry you lost you pet. My dogs are my children and I can't imagine how devastating it must be. Even when prepared it is incredibly hard. http://msnbc.msn.com/id/10743413/ At least 100 dogs in the United States have been killed in recent weeks by toxic pet food despite a recall of the products, scientists said today. Some 19 brands of Diamond, Country Value and Professional dog foods have been recalled. But many pet owners are not aware of the recall, researchers at Cornell University said Friday. The dog food is tainted with deadly aflatoxins that waste the liver away. The bad food could be present in a dozen other countries, too, the researchers say. About two-thirds of dogs that show symptoms from the toxin have died. Symptoms arise over days or weeks. Early signs include lethargy, loss of appetite and vomiting. Later, look for orange-colored urine and jaundice, which is a yellowing of the eyes and gums. Severely affected dogs produce a blood-tinged vomit and bloody or blackened stools.
Lost my black lab the other year. Was incredibly tough. Got another a few months back and it's cute but not trained yet and a pain in the ass. Kicked it when UGA beat us
