Fugg Ohio State and their 10-2 record over an 11-2 team. All of the SEC upper tier is in the AP top 14 teams, except for Tennessee. Where is Tennessee? . . . anbody? . . . Bueller?
My Bad!!!! I meant we were the highest ranked team that didn't play in a BCS Bowl. I actually thought the media would still try and find a way to vote USC #1. :geauxtige
After looking at the list.... my Top Ten would be: Texas 13-0 USC 12-1 Penn State 12-1 LSU 11-2 WVU 12-1 Virginia Tech 11-2 Georgia 10-3 TCU 11-1 OSU 10-2 Alabama 10-2
I honestly think Georgia would beat TCU, Alabama and Ohio State. Ohio State has never won a bowl game against an SEC school and that may be why they jumped at the chance to play Notre Dame. Virginia Tech vs Georgia would be a close game, with a slight edge to VT. As far as WVU goes, I feel about that game in the same way that you felt about the Tennessee game. Why the Georgia DC didn't stack 8 is beyond me. The Georgia corners could have played man on man just as effectively.
Somewhat of an apples and oranges comparison because there are no common opponents. TCU beat Oklahoma, Utah and Iowa State this year. I would venture to say that it would be very low scoring. Would Bama beat Ohio State?
Similar to our Texas Tech matchup? Ohio State? Not sure...I do know it would be one HELL of a defensive game. But I only asked about TCU because you had them ranked ahead of Bama in your poll. I was happy about where Bama was placed in the final poll.
I could see that...TCU isn't very good but they aren't that bad. On a bad day, I could see TCU spanking Brodie's ass
You should be happy. But do you realize that it is mainly because you creamed Urban Meyer? I'm waiting to see what the media says next year when Miss State is bumped from the Florida schedule and replaced by Auburn. Florida has to play Auburn, LSU and Alabama from the West.
