LSU! In response to your question, it has not affected me in regards to posting less. I do believe that the LSU administration does the best that it can in bringing in the best coaches posssible and we should support their choices. Please give coach Miles a chance. The won/loss record this year was fantastic. As LSU supporters we want our school to succeed in academics and athlethics and believe it or not we are achieving on both levels, but we cannot win every athletic contest all the time. The criticism at least shows that people who love LSU care about their school and want them to succeed and it is better than at some schools where their is apathy and people do not even respond regardless of the outcome of the contest. Trust me their are plenty of schools that would gladly trade places with L S U. Everyone needs a pat on the back for a job well done so next time you see one of our coaches or get a chance to speak about them, give them a compliment, positive attitudes go a long way. I love L S U and thank you to all our coaches.

Dissention does not affect my attitude towards TF.

It would be a bore if everybody agreed on everything. This is a forum for discussion and if they get heated sometimes, that is fine by me as long as it doesn't deteriorate into personal attacks. A good rule is to not say something that might start a fight on the street or in a bar if you said it to a man's face. Saying the same thing on an anonymous forum, hiding behind a keyboard is just cowardly, childish, and degrades a good thread.

Dissention is just fine. Attacking somebody's ideas is part of the fun here, but making personal attacks on someone is frankly boring for the rest of us, and as Brett puts it, "is detrimental to good discussion". Mods are obligated to delete them when they are found, but often the damage is already done.

The same discussion over and over by the same people gets very tiring. Seeing people answering their own post is tiring. It seem if someone can't get another to discuss an issue with them they will discuss it with their self.

Tigerforums.com is the 2nd place I come for info about the Tigers. LSUsports.net is first. It is getting harder to sort through the post to get info.:usaflagwa :laflagwav :geauxtige :thumb:

I don't mind a good argument at times. So many posters and callers on sports talk shows think they are coaches. They know it all. Some hosts act the same. Most haven't coached a real game in their life or even played, and I don't mean T-ball, or pee wee football, or biddy basketball. On the other hand, this doesn't mean that if you aren't a coach or ex-coach or even a player/ex-player that you don't have a gripe at times. There are some good arguments at times.

My biggest complaint to people who don't know the game (no matter what sport it is) on here or on the radio is that I don't have time to get into an all out explanation of how to attack a 2 deep-man under coverage with someone that just says "throw it deep" or when someone says we can't run with 7 or 8 in the box, when there's not hardly a single defense that plays less than that, even with a 5 out, no-back formation...or even how to attack a 2-3 zone, a 1-3-1 half ct trap, a run-and-jump man-to-man defense, and how to run a motion offense. Learn the game.

Dissention is the key ingredient of free speech. Perhaps it does lead to heated discourse, but that is only evidence of ideas firmly held.

If we could find a way to kick ALL of the Allbarn fans off of this board, peace and tranquility would reign. Those Barners are instigators and troublemakers.

It hasn't affected my posting habits, but has affected my mentality about posting.

It seems like we would endlessly debate the Miles issue, never with new or relevant info - just people of differing opinions who refused to quit posting about it. You didn't see me starting threads every other day complimenting Miles, but as long as I was on the forum I was going to express my opinion on the matter in others' threads.

This board has evolved a lot since I joined shortly after the National Championship. I don't enjoy the Miles discussions any more because it's been debated to death & nothing but time will prove anyone correct.

Until I have a job that doesn't give me tons of free time on the computer, I'll still be around & posting.
