Nope not Tennessee players this time.

Three Austin, Texas TV stations are reporting that several Texas players, including starting CB Cedric Griffin are under investigation for armed robery and assault. This could be a distraction as UT prepares for the MNC game.

If this player already has a lawyer in place, it was more than just a case of trash-talking.

I just knew that Mac Brown wasn't going to have it easy all season.

Trust me there is no school with more powerful attys then UT, they can sweep anything under the rug to protect their team.

I remember when Cedric Benson got busted with a ton of weed and some hooker I think. Out in west texas. By the time the UT lawyers where done they had the police apologizing to Benson.

That school is as corrupt as Miami when it comes to players being thugs and you never hear about it.

Ken Oden, the attorney "advising" Griffin is the former Travis County (Austin) Attorney. Probably doesn't come cheap.

Most of Texas's politicians & big-swingers either went to UT or are fans of the team, so their players certainly get some preferred treatment by the law.
