Hard to believe, but it is true. The fax has a time stamp on the facsimile and even stamped received by the UKAA. Also consider who you just accused of “cheating” a fax…Tubby Smith. Tubby is one of the most respected and honest man in college athletics…Now his organizational skill and keeping his desk clean is a whole different matter. Supposedly he left a folder with the fax sheet on a flight he took for a recruiting trip. The airline mailed the folder and Tubby placed folder with the fax letter on a shelf in his office when he received it (forgetting about the fax letter). Pretty legit, you can track a fax on a machine; don’t think Tubby and UKAA would risk the “death penalty” over Morris eligibility.
I know Tubby is upstanding and all but Morris totally changes the face of that team. Also, is changing the time/date on a fax machine that tough to do? With as important as UK basketball is up there (I know first hand), I think that the fax could have been produced after the fact. Besides, who faxes stuff these days anyways? If he pulled up an email and proved the time/date that way it would be alot more believable to me.
Looked great without Morris today. Woo pretty much had a great game. Morris will be a great addition, but I think we saw the real UK team today! And yes, UK would not risk the "death penalty" to get him reinstated...not worth the trouble!
