If I were in Miles shoes, and if I were not interested in talking with Colorado, I would be furious that my name would be announced at the very height of the recruiting season. Coaches like Fulmer will quickly try to convince recruits, who are still on the fence, that the LSU program is unstable. When guys like Mustain are jumping ship, after announcing a commitment to Arkansas in front of the whole state on TV, you have got to know that Houston Nutt is on that same Colorado list.
This is total BULL FECES! I thought Les Miles and his staff handled the Katrina situation as well as any other coach would or could have. And, oh by the way won 10 games. And if you think for one minute that Les Miles and his staff are content and not striving for excellence than you've got your head buried in the sand. I don't know any coach who goes into the office thinking - "Boy we are good enough, let's cancel practice today and go home. We're good just the way we are so we don't need the workout or to watch film or to recruit...hell I'm satisfied where we are. Let the others catch up with us." Come On - please tell me you really don't think this way? :dis:
TS - I'm afraid that is actually some people's mentality as evidenced by the posts across this board. In the case above, you could probably replace "...rather than constantly striving for excellence..." with "rather than being Nick Saban" and you get real picture for what's going on around tigerforums. I don't know what the answer is, but there's something inherently wrong with this much biatching and moaning after this season. No we didn't dominate for 60 minutes every game of every season and yes we got our arses handed to us a couple times, but I also don't understand why so many people expected that we would dominate so completely.
I wouldn't blame les miles for leaving or trying for the interview because the expectations here are rediculous, he has to be perfect here and win titles every year to keep people off his back, maybe CU fans can enjoy a 10-2 season better.
Colorado is broke.............they can't afford Miles at his LSU salary, let alone raise it.
