I don't care who is the head coach. I will take a 10-2 Win the West and a chance to be SEC :champs: . I remember those days that LSU could not win at all. :geauxtige beat miami
I have to step in and give my humble opinion. What I personally saw all year was lack of intensity all the way around. Coaches, players, etc. I can't answer why this was, but that's the way I saw it. I mean, Ga played some mediocre games, but they came out with intensity. We barely "whipped" a lot of mediocre teams, because we had no intensity. Just my take.
I really think that you people miss the point of why so many fans are very upset. When you donate a lot of your earnings to a program and your coach sounds like he doesn't have a thought in his head and couldn't fire up a pee wee team, your team runs around lost in the biggest game of the season and gets laughed at on national tv, your coordinators are rumored to have no interest in remaining at LSU, recruits are decommitting daily and on top of all that we have all seen this a couple of coaches ago....you have every right to be concerned and voice your opinion without being called a "bad fan". I personally love how many of you want to call people pessimistic because they are worried that what has happened to LSU football in the past might happen again. Yeah well I can speak from personal experience that this has been a pretty pessimistic year and if people have that attitude then quite frankly it is their right. Additionally, what you fail to realize is that most everyone only wants what's best for LSU and if Miles can sustain 10-2 seasons then people will grow to trust him as the leader of LSU football.
What does Arkansas have to do with us? :hihi: Seriously, where are you hearing that recruits are decommitting?
Here's why it looks to me like you have a pessimistic view: Our coaches might leave for head coaching positions. I repeat, if they leave LSU it will be to advance their career, not to get away from Miles or LSU. This means that because of the respected job they have done here, other schools want to hire them as head coaches - not such a bad problem to have. Also, we've lost... what, 3 recruits in the past few weeks? Hardly "losing recruits daily" and what about the fact that he still has a top 10 class? I guess that means nothing.
Actually I didn't mean to say daily, but even so how many recruits have we picked up in last 3 weeks? Also how many Top 100! even have us on their lists anymore?
How many schools in the country have picked up recruits in the last 3 weeks? Right now just isn't a big pick-up time. Plenty of top 100 recruits still have us in their top 5. We will finish with a top 10 class, easily. Remember how well Miles closed the deal with some good recruits last season?
Do you know this for a fact? I don't think that you do, but if you do then I defer because I don't know the coaches personally. I do know that the few people on this board who claim to know some of the coaches will tell you that there is dissent.
I don't know this for a "fact", but if next season our coaches are OC/DCs somewhere else - I'll be wrong. If they are still here or move onto be head coaches, I will assume I was right. There is dissent. When the offense performs the way it has this season, of course there's going to be dissent. Especially with an offensive minded head coach that is more involved with game planning now. There was dissent between Saban & Jimbo too. It's unclear right now how serious the dissent is, and just knowing it's there tells us nothing.
