IMO, based on what I have seen, I feel like JR needs to lose some weight and get some mobility. While no one debates his arm strength you can question his CONSISTENT decsion making skills or the lack of.
He takes way toooo many sacks and they are usually large ones.

Hopefully Flynn gets some good PT and will play in the Bowl..............I hope they allow JR to HEAL, completely before playing again.

As for RP, either he was one of the top QB prospects in the country or he was a fluke. If he is good, then he should create competition for the job.

IF RP, does emerge in a prominent role I would bet we will see a transfer from one of the other two remaining guys.

I don't understand why you want to hear from Stacy on this. Wouldn't Miles be a better person to ask? I do not know any of the coaches & haven't talked to them about how they feel on Ryan's development. I know people who attend practice and they've said that Ryan's running ability was never an issue, but that he's still learning the system, sometimes having trouble picking up what the defense is doing & overthrowing receivers. My impression is that he looks good, but JR & Flynn look better right now.

Nothing wrong with standing tall in the pocket... he was only sacked twice last night and is mobile enough... the trend in CFB is to go with a Shockley-like QB... myself, i have always loved pocket passers

Flynn & Russell were both top QB prospects as well. And they have 2 years more in the system than Ryan.

Not first hand. But nobody else does either, and that's why they are saying Ryan should compete for the starting position - because of what he did in High School. They haven't a clue of how he's looked on the college level.

Since when do bowl games not mean anything? We're playing the #9th ranked Miami Hurricanes, and this game doesn't mean anything? This game means a lot in a lot of ways. We can finish the season ranked in the Top 10 with an 11-2 record. If we can get a Top 5 recruiting class (which we should), and since we'll have an experience QB coming back next year (JRock), we could possibly be in ranked in the Top 5 when the preseason polls come out.
