1. Hey, I am new to the forum. I have been reading posts for awhile but this is my first post. I am getting tired of how the bama faithful use prothro being hurt as a reason to why they lost the game. Also have heard this quite a few times from the media. I guess they have forgotten that LSU is missing their starting rb Broussard and Addai has been banged up and didnt play really. I think Vincent played well and showed signs of 03, but I personally believe with Broussard we would have had a better running attack for the bama game and we would have won without going to ot. I am just saying they were missing their top guy and we were also so, I think it was a toss-up in that category and didnt favor either team.
  2. Welcome to the posting world....

It doesn't really bother me that they are using the PROTHRO excuse, because as long as you haven't been living under a rock, you saw this coming. They can make any excuse they want, I could care less......WE WON, THEY LOST!!!
  3. players being injured is NOT a excuse for losing a game.

unless of course, injuries arent a part of football now?

plus, if you have to depend on ONE player to win the game for you, then you dont deserve to be considered to play in a national title game....

  4. lying on his ass Croyle would not have found Prothro any easier than the receivers that did play.:hihi:
  5. I agree.

LSU has their share of injured players also. Two star running backs come to mind.

I will say that Prothro could have probably made a difference for them in how our defense played. You could say the same about Broussard and Addai.

By the way, welcome to the forum.
  6. From the media, net, etc. you may see the using TP's injury as an excuse, but being around Bama Fan's daily, who know FB, they have no excuses. A lot of What ifs'. But the Barners over here still have this we missed 25 field goals or we woulda won crap....:hihi:
  7. I think if they have Prothro and we have Broussard we WIN hands down!
The way Croyle got pressured in the second half it did not matter who was at reciever. If we had Broussard then we could have established a running game and it would have been an easier win for LSU.
  8. Just tell those whiny Barners that if the refs had called that blatant Auburn hold on Iron's long TD run there would have been no overtime. I've watched the play a half dozen times and we had him stopped dead until an Auburn lineman wrapped his arms around our guy and pulled him off Irons. At the least, the whistle should have blown and ended the play right there. Our DB's thought the play was done and picked up pursuit too late.
  9. I still just laugh and blow them off. I put up a pic of the scoreboard at my desk and just point to it....... :hihi:
