With USC, Texas, and VT all undefeated and ahead of us, there was little to no chance to begin with. Really guys...We began this year--the year where we supposedly had "the most talent ever", yet we started the year ranked 6th in the polls (3 whole spots LOWER than what we were ranked the previous year to start the season). The ONLY way we have a chance to make it to the Rose Bowl is if USC AND Texas AND VT EACH lose a game and Miami moves to #1 and we move to #2 (because if Miami beats #3 VT, they're going to remain ahead of us). Focus on what we CAN control--An SEC Championship and a Sugar Bowl birth. If the Rose Bowl happens for the Tigers, it happens, but some of you make it sound like the Sugar Bowl is like the Independance Bowl or something. :nope:
If we end up playing the Big East champ in the Sugar (as it appears the SEC champ will), both Independence Bowl teams will probably be better than W. Virginia. . . 114th in passing offense. Sure their d is nice statistically and they run the ball well (against Syracuse, Wofford, East Carolina, S. Florida, Uconn, Cincy), but come on. . . I know, I know, getting ahead and all. . .
I have been to the Peach Bowl twice and had a blast in Atlanta. I am sure that they are going to roll out the red carpet for the Sugar Bowl this year. If we make it, I will be very excited and looking forward to it. :geauxtige
I always pull for what helps LSU first. We need Tenn to beat ND. Against Vandy i will pull for Vandy because it is a wash.
