That was b/c the Orange Bowl had the BCS title game. Just like the Big 10 champ this year will not play in the Rose Bowl b/c they host the BCS title game. The Orange Bowl has a tie-in with the ACC or Big East Champ. I'm sure they would choose a highly ranked VaTech over Louisville. I know I said "correct me if I'm wrong", but I'm not ... :hihi:
Actually, your post was incorrect: Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Orange Bowl get the ACC champion if they aren't in the BCS title game? means the Orange Bowl always gets the ACC champion unless the ACC champion is in the BCS title game (with the "they" referencing the ACC champion in that sentence). That is not the same thing as saying what apparently you meant to say, which is "The ACC champion always plays in the Orange Bowl, unless the Orange Bowl is hosting the BCS title game." Perhaps the most correct thing to say would be this: "The Orange Bowl always gets the ACC champion unless the ACC champ is in a BCS title game held somewhere else or if the Orange Bowl hosts the BCS title game and the ACC champ is not one of the two teams invited to the title game for that season." The same can be said, of course, for the SEC and the Sugar Bowl, for example. Anyway, I figured you meant something different than what you posted initially. Thanks for clearing it up with the follow-up. :thumb:
It looked correct to me at 8:15 this morning before the coffee kicked in.:yelwink2: Anyway, I think we may have another SEC vs Big 10 matchup in the Sugar.
I'll go with TigerWins as the correct one in this debate. This year the Orange does get the ACC CHamp or the Big East Champ, whichever one they decide on.
