It really gets loud on the field. Many people do not realize how much it can affect your hearing. During pregame I have to use my eyes to tell when we start because I just cannot hear the drummers. I promise you a drumline is louder than one guy yelling.

I agree with geauxscott that the 4th and goal before the AU score was the loudest I've ever heard TS, and I have only missed 2 home games (one ole miss, one arkansas) in 5 years.

On the flip side, I have never felt so strange in TS when Jackson was kicking to tie and send the game to overtime. You could hear a pin drop. TS became the largest church on earth. I heard 92,000+ prayers at once...haha.

Ah yes... Jackson's kick... The only point in the game when I was sitting down... Everyone behind me thought I was about to cry, I was so stressed....:D

I was quite amazed that I could talk today after screaming at the top of my lungs for the fourth quarter and the overtime. After the game I had felt like i had went on a six hour tubing trip. Anybody that has been on one of those knows how your body feels afterwards

Hey houtiger, you can tell Les Miles is loving the the Tiger Stadium atmosphere. At the end of the game, ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe did a post-game interview with Miles. He was answering something when you heard "LSU LSU LSU LSU LSU" from the crowd. He stopped whatever he was talking about and he said something like "Just listen to our student section, that's what we're out here playing for." LES IS MORE? We'll find out in the next few weeks.

I gotta say, the over-the-top bitterness between the two schools seems to have subsided after this year's game. All the Auburn fans that went down there said they had a great time and that LSU fans seemed to almost go out of their way to reverse the negative perception that's typically hung on them. Auburn fans offering congrats on a big win and LSU fans coming over to our boards and complimenting our defense, QB and RB. Maybe the world's coming to an end soon or something. ;)

It's a good thing though. Knock each other's heads off for 60 minutes on the field, home fans screaming their lungs out til they get headaches from the noise, then everyone acting like human being afterward. The way it oughta be.
