Nice, you guys did a great job, those who could attend! http://www.al.com/auburn/mobileregister/index.ssf?/base/sports/1130059533236190.xml&coll=3
Was the crowd as long in OT as they were throughout the game? I notice that it seems on tv, sometimes the crowd isn't as loud in OT?
Wasn't there, but from what I've read at other forums, it was louder in OT than any other time of the game.
I think actually that the end of the 4th quarter was the loudest I've heard in the past 2 years. Over time was still very, very loud, but probably less so than the end of the game for some reason.
I couldn't tell how loud it was because I couldn't really hear the rest of the crowd over my own yelling. But I must say, that game beat the crap out of me. My whole body is taxed.
I was there, in the south endzone, and couldn't hear myself think. It was very loud. I kept thinking to myself that this is the loudest it's ever been, but you can never really tell.
I wonder how Les Miles likes being the coach of LSU, and the Tiger Stadium experience on Sat. night? And coach Pelini? I think its special, so I hope they enjoy it. The early season was so whacky they may not have had a chance to form an opinion, but its gotta be a lot different than Stillwater.
The loudest I've ever heard Tiger Stadium was on the 4th and goal right before AU scored.....it got quiet very quickly but before the play the place was rocking!!!! I had a buddy (AU fan) was sitting on the 3rd row in the AU section, so he was field level and he said that was the loudest game he has ever been to. He said his ears were ringing during the forth quarter and OT. He has been to the last 28 straight AU games as well as many before that streak so he has been to many different stadiums including UF, Tenn, Bama, Georgia, Ga Tech.
Last night's game was the first game in quite some time that I was unable to hear the LSU band at several points during the game from the south end zone. I'll sneak in a few comments about Auburn fans in this post..... Finally a team's fans chose to travel and represent their school, despite the circumstances of hotels, etc etc. No excuses, Auburn fans just showed up in high numbers and represented their school well. I will reserve my hatred for Auburn and its fans for the AU game week of each season only. The Auburn fans on this forum, along with those at the game, have been nothing but class -- just proud enthusiastic fans who support their university really well. Just Kidding!!! **** Aubarn! Ok, kidding on the kidding. Auburn fans are some of the best around, except for one week out of every year. :thumb:
