Man have we forgotten that Saban needed a last minute miracle to beat friggin Kentucky in 02'. This team pulls out a win over one of the better teams in the SEC and we're bitching???? This is getting pathetic.
Not only do the students sit in the North end, but AU won the toss and chose to play defense on that end. Probably the most boneheaded coaching decision evar on Tubs' part. 3 of Vaughn's missed FG's were to the North end.
I agree, after the game my buddy and I were walking through the RV lot and every person we saw we said "Hey No turnovers" in a joking manner.........and I would have to say at least half of the people came back with a negative comment like "yeah, but we dropped 2 TD's" or "Play calling still sucks". The negativity is ridiculas!!! :dis:
AU won the toss and selected to go on defense. LSU got to choose which EZ to play in. You get one or the other, but not both. Had LSU won the toss and chosen Def (you always choose D in OT), the game would have been played in the SEZ.
Sorry Geauxscott, but Sourdough insists I be consistant :hihi: and point out the misspelling of ridiculous wherever I find it.
Well the Miles bashers are not going to give up no matter what happens. I'd be willing to bet some of the same were critical of some of Sabans decisions in 2003. Now, all of the sudden, in their eyes, the Almighty has vacated his seat in the Kingdom and left it to St Nick. I'm not sure what he did to get annoited to that position. Maybe it was when he walked across the Mississippi River to get a burger in Port Allen. Maybe it was when Marcus Randall broke his leg in the Oregon St game and Saban waved his hand over the apendage and it was healed. I don't know...but do you remember what miracle had to happen to get us into the NC game anyway? University of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception had to beat Podunk College at Southeastern Virginia in order for the Tigers to leap USC in the BCS. Now that was a miracle...maybe ol Nick had something to do with that. Sorry but if he were all that and a bag of chips we would have 5 consecutive NC to hang a hat on or at least have some cool embroidery on them. Saban is what he is...an above average coach who came to LSU to improve his resume' and used that to become a very wealthy NFL coach...even before he signed his contract with the Dolphins. Don't get me wrong...I have nothing but love for the man but we have Coach Miles now so the comparisons to Saban need to go.
