1. We comeback and win again... For the 3rd time this season...

I know when Nick Saban was here, he always preached to never give up and to always have the heart of a champion 100%, and it worked for us, because we won the title in 03, and had several (5 I think?) comeback wins last season. My question now is: "Can Les sustain the emotion?"

That is where he will make or break his career...

Under Dinardo, believe it or not, we were in A LOT of games, but we would find ways to lose.

Under Saban, we were in A LOT of games, but we would find ways to win, and so far under Miles it is the same, but is that his good teaching, or is that just still Saban's style imprinted in our players?

I really don't know the answer to that...

But THAT is where Les's career will be won or lost...

It will have more to do with that, than it will the other things we moan and complain about...

The Heart of a Champion... Can we sustain it?

I sure as hell hope so, because that was sure as hell a lot of fun!!

I got what seems like dozens of exams next week, so this may be my last post for a bit...

    Have a great week guys!

  LSU! LSU!  LSU! LSU!

    :geauxtige :geauxtige
  2. I thought this was a decent post... I guess no one else did :hihi:
  3. Decent post! :thumb:
  4. Because not many people come to internet forums of their favorite college football team to say good things about their team... the majority come to bash and whine and moan. So most people don't want to read about something positive.

And I'm still pissed about the guy in front of me at the Florida game that wouldn't open his mouth to make noise when UF had it on 3rd down, but he was the loudest guy in the stadium when he booed Fisher and Miles.

All the negativity has to go.

  5. Well I, unlike those idiots, stay positive all game.. You can go back into the archives...

The 1st thing I said after Tennessee was that we were going to go 10-1
  6. I'm with you, man. I've just been real disappointed with about 1% of the Tiger fan base lately.
  7. I'm not being sarcastic. I'm serious so don't take it wrong or think I'm making fun. This is the most dead on accurate post I've seen here ever.
This Heart of a Champion thing is the most important thing Saban brought to LSU. You could tell under DiNardo and throughout the past that when things went wrong the team would seem to implode.
Saban taught the team that bad plays happen in games.
Fumbles, intercepts, penalties, etc. and not to sweat it. He'd ream butts for mistakes, that's for sure but you didn't give up when bad things happened because......THEY HAPPEN!

I remember in the Sugar Bowl when that punt got blocked and we gave it over to OU at the two yardline. Look at the LSU players on the sidelines. They look like 'big deal, we'll still win.'
I've been watching LSU and going to games since the early 60's and without question the Saban teams had more confidence than any other LSU team in the past.
I hope Miles can keep that up.
  8. I'm bumping this thread because I think it's important.

And what I think IS important! ;)
  9. I always like your posts.:) You take their kidding well (RP Blow Up doll stuff...).:yelwink2: Good luck on your exams!:thumb:
  10. I think it took the Foot of a John Vaughn to win last night's game.

But yeah, Heart of a Champion, good stuff.
