DJ was back at practice Sunday in a no-contact jersey. Reports have him ready to go this weekend. I agree with a lot of what you say here, but it has to be weighed against the game plan last week (which a lot of didn't like when we found out what was planned earlier in the week.)
What did 'Bama plan to do? Stink it up all game and kick the winning FG as time expires? I guess if that's what they planned to do, the executed the gameplan to perfection.
I'm thinking Bama will be able to pull it off. It should be a close game, and I don't think it will be too high scoring. Maybe 17-14 or 14-10... Both D's are good, but I think Bama's offense (even w/o Prothro) will be able to put up a few more points than Baby Clausen and Co.
I think Alabama wins because they have a better defense than Tennessee. I think Alabama will exploit those young QB's from Tenn. That is the difference for me.
The Tide ain't the same without Prothro and you don't replace him. However, I've thought since the summer that the coondogs were the most overrated team in the country. Bama ought to beat 'em like a rented mule. :thumb: Bama 30 Coondogs 16
Hopefully we never see the day when this is the type of graphic on the front page of espn.com promoting a LSU game:
Vols win 16 to 9 in a defensive struggle. I don't know how he does it, but Fulmer circles the wagons whenever the fans are going nuts up here, and they are going nuts in a big way now. If Protho is healthy I take bama, but...........
